In 1990, Feed the Multitudes was initiated by the pastors and congregation of Victory Fellowship. It was a difficult season for us financially, when we heard the call to reach out and help others in more difficult situations than our own. Without hesitation, the congregation donated the money, time, and supplies that birthed the first celebration. The event that year provided a day of fun, entertainment, food and ministry. Over the years, Feed the Multitudes has become an annual tradition in the city of New Orleans.
On that day, we believe that we are not just celebrating the holiday, but also sharing the Good News with everyone. While their physical needs are being met, we also provide ministry for their spirit, such as evangelism, prayer, healing, and the love of Jesus! Matthew 25:35-36 "For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to me."
