Jeannot Plessy was born and raised in New Orleans. Throughout Jeannot’s life she struggled with alcoholism and drugs while raising two of her children. In her thirties Jeannot lost hope and attempted to end her life. Through this traumatic experience, Jeannot walked into a church, had an encounter with the LORD, and her life was radically transformed.

Jeannot would later marry and alongside with her husband; they started a mission church for the poor, addicted, and underprivileged in New Orleans. No one would have predicted that fateful night on November 27, 2018, Jeannot’s life was taken due to a carjacking that took place at her daughter’s home in Gentilly.

Jeannot Plessy’s message was to serve and love those who the world labeled as the least of these. It is in this legacy that the Plessy family is honored to have her name as the bearer of a movement to better the lives of marginalized women and children in this community.

The Jeannot Plessy Scholarship Fund will aim to provide financial assistance towards private education and after school tutoring to children of single mothers. If you would like to give to the Jeannot Plessy Scholarship Fund please visit victorychurchnola.com/give.
